Building Division

Project	:	Up Town Motor City Buildings Area 2
Client	:	Union Properties PJSC

The Project comprises of 33 Residential Buildings with 2101 apartments and 34 terraced villas. Total build up area is 491,815m2 including the underground car parking. The buildings are divided into 6 types which are Circus Buildings (Total 9 Nos.), Southern Gates (Total 2No.), Gardens (Total 6Nos.), Courtyards (Total 8Nos.), Gates (Total 8 Nos.) and Crescent Villas. The buildings are mainly 3 storey with 2 store underground car park except circular buildings which are 5 storey. The Client’s design is traditional in situ concrete frame, infill blockwork, render, screeds, tiling and paint. Hard and soft Landscaping, MEP, Lifts and Signage will be done by Nominated Subcontractors. The external works are a Provisional Sum.

Theme Park Initial Works

In addition to the current Infra –Structure and building works on-going at UP’s Motor City Development, AFC have negotiated the Phase 1 works for the Formula-1 Theme Park Development. The Project Manager for the works is Confluence and approximate value is Dhs 30 Million. The works include but are not limited to

1200m of concrete encased DEWA pipelines. 42,000m2 of full road construction. 150,000m3 of excavation. 200,000m3 of fill.

Street Lighting, potable water and other infrastructure services. This is the enabling package which has been awarded to AFC prior to negotiation for the full infrastructure package. AFC’s current infrastructure team headed by David Box will carry out at these additional works.

Infrastrucutre Division

Project : Infrastructure and Landscape Works Client : Union Properties

The Infrastructure project is divided between 3 separate contracts, they are Sitewide , Green Community and UPTown Infrastructure and are all to be completed within 12 months of commencement.

The major quantities to be undertaken within this period are

Subbase and Roadbase 180,000 m3 Asphalt 381,172m2 Foul Drawings 16,536m Storm Water Drawing 20,235m Irrigation Network 38,802m Substations Buildings 33 No. Traffic Signal Junction 3 No.

In parallel with this AFC are responsible for the design and build of a Sewage Treatment Plant designed to cater for the complete development.

Project : Minor Contracts Client : UP

These projects currently consist of the Design and Build of a Maintenance Hanger (FM Centre) and an Extension to the Paddock Garage Pits. Other works include minor requirements for the Client and the Autodrorne itself.
