People are our greatest asset and we want to ensure that everyone is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. We aim to retain the best people by providing ongoing learning, training and development.

We offer learning solutions to meet the requirements of all individuals and teams. Methods of training delivery range from traditional courses, job rotation, coaching, taking on new challenges to self study.

We provide training and development in line with the individual needs identified in the Personal Training and Development Plan. We also provide training and development interventions to ensure that all employees are working safely and legally whilst in our employment.

For every employee there are mandatory training requirements and specific training requirements. Both elements can be driven by different requirements in the business:


Values, Systems, Business tools, Managing People


A change in legal requirements including issues relating to Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental Standards

Business Group / Role

Needs appropriate to area of the business


Needs identified through the Performance and Development Review or Job Chat processes

Training needs will be identified for every employee with their managers. This will occur for a number of reasons:

  • When you are new to the company
  • You starts on a new project or in a new role
  • As a part of the Performance Review process

The Performance Management framework actively encourages continuous learning and development of all employees. There are four stages of our Learning and Development Cycle, these are identified in the model below:
