The project is located on Yas Island in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi near the Airport and is part of a major development being managed by Aldar Property Developers. The overall scheme is based around the new Formula One Racetrack was completed at the end of 2009.

The project itself comprises two elliptical 8 and 6 storey Hotel towers, one on land and one in a Marina linked by a bridge with glass bottomed floor providing views of the racetrack underneath. There are two levels of underground parking, podium, ballroom and various restaurant outlets. Both buildings will be covered by a unique architectural Shell Cloak Structure which incorporates specialist lighting effects.
